Chemical Plant
Accidental release of chemicals to treatment plant.
The Problem
A chemical plant with the capability to manufacture 15,000 litres per day suffered a mechanical malfunction which caused a release of chemicals to the treatment plant. The aeration pH exceeded 10.0 and formaldehyde levels exceeded 2000ppm. Both well above the parameters the plant was designed to handle.
The Solution
We recommended the addition of EnBac® B110 into the wastewater treatment plant.
The Results
Within 48 hours, the treatment plant was once again working within the parameters it was designed to cope with.
